01Who we are

We repair, clean, maintain and supply equipment for swimming pools and spas. We are a mobile service and do not have a shopfront.

02What we collect

We collect this directly from you, from your bookings and messages, from our visits, and through analytics and advertising platforms when you use our website or ads.

• Identity and contact details: name, email, mobile number and the address of the property we visit.
• Details about your pool and equipment: pool type, sanitiser, approximate size, equipment makes and install dates, and photos you send us or that we take on a visit.
• Access notes you give us, such as gate codes, pets and side access. We use these only to get to the pool, and you can ask us to delete them at any time.
• Records of our visits: water readings, the work done and anything to watch, as shown in your visit reports.
• Booking, quote, invoice and payment records. Card and bank details are entered with our payment provider and are not stored by us.
• Messages, emails and calls between us.
• Technical and usage data when you use our website or interact with our ads (for example device, browser and advertising identifiers, through analytics and advertising tools such as the Meta pixel).

If you don't give us these details, we may not be able to book or carry out the work.

03How we use it

To book and carry out visits, repairs and installations; to send confirmations, reminders and "on the way" texts; to send your visit reports, quotes and invoices; to run your Care Plan and its monthly direct debit; to answer your questions; to improve our services; and to send you relevant information about our services, which you can opt out of at any time.

04Marketing

We may send you emails and SMS messages about our services, such as seasonal reminders or a Care Plan offer after a repair. You can opt out at any time: use the unsubscribe link in an email, reply STOP to an SMS, or contact us. Opting out does not stop messages about your bookings, visits or account.

05Who we share it with

We may disclose your personal information to service providers who help us operate, for example our CRM, booking, email and SMS providers, our payment provider, our website host, and advertising and analytics platforms; to licensed contractors we arrange on your job, such as a registered electrician or gasfitter, where that work is needed; to anyone you authorise; and where required or permitted by law. We do not sell your personal information.

06Overseas storage

Some of our service providers store or process data on servers that may be located outside Australia, including in the United States. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with this policy and the Australian Privacy Principles.

07How we store and protect it

We hold your information in secure systems and take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep it only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law.

Our website uses cookies and similar tools, including the Meta pixel and Google Analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and manage ad preferences in your Meta and Google accounts.

08Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, at any time. You can also ask us to delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within 30 days.

09Complaints

If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, contact us first and we will work to resolve it. Put your complaint in writing to clients@splashbox.com.au. We will acknowledge it within 5 business days and aim to resolve it within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
